CONGRATULATIONS

YEAR’S WINNERS
AMADEUS Festival Vienna commences its second International Design Competition 2025/2026, with a mission to promote and uplift fresh emerging talents in the fields of visual arts and graphic design.
This initiative, framed within the communication strategy of the Festival itself, aims to serve as a platform that recognizes and rewards the works of artists interested in the world of classical music, who help us project and promote the image of the Festival internationally.
We are delighted to extend our warmest congratulations to the Winner of this year’s competition in two categories: Professional Jury & Public Vote.
The Winner of the Professional Jury COLOURS OF SOUND by Dryha Kseniia. The Winner of the Public Vote is METAMORPHOSIS OF THE SOUND AND LIFE by Vojtěch Zuna.
Colours of Sound
The design captures the transformative power of music. At the heart of the poster, a vibrant saxophone releases not only melodies, but a stream of butterflies, flowers, stars, and abstract shapes. These symbols rise freely into the air, embodying the idea of sound transcending its physical form and blossoming into pure emotion, color, and life.
The inspiration lies in the metamorphosis - just as a butterfly emerges from its cocoon, music evolves from notes into feelings, from rhythm into freedom. The bright, fragmented background emphasizes dynamism, energy, and the diversity of musical expression.
The message is simple yet powerful: music liberates. It breaks boundaries, transforms silence into beauty, and carries the listener into a world where imagination and spirit soar. The festival becomes a place where sound itself undergoes metamorphosis, uniting people through shared emotion and creative freedom.
Metamorphosis
of the sound
and life
The poster draws on the theme of metamorphosis as a poetic symbol of transformation. The background originates from a live orchestra, but through inversion and abstraction it loses its literal form and becomes a piece of visual art, music translated into image.
This reflects the idea that transformation is not only change but also reinterpretation and rebirth. The “M” in Metamorphosis is shaped as a musical note, a direct bridge between sound and text. Rising notes move upward from fragmented shapes into complete forms, embodying the process of becoming, from brokenness to wholeness. The overall message highlights metamorphosis as a creative evolution where sound, form and identity dissolve, reshape and emerge anew.
